10:30 AM – Program by Judge Cherie Clark and LeAnn Bertsch – Director of the North Dakota Departments of Corrections and Rehabilitation will speak about the Jamestown Drug Court and how the community can be involved in Criminal Justice Reform. (Program open to Public)

Read a Book or Watch a Movie Discussion Group
Members can choose to read a book or watch a movie or both and then join an on-line or conference call discussion group as our “stay-at-home” and “be comfy” meeting brings the monthly branch meeting to your home this month. Watch for the schedule and book/movie choices.

Work Savvy – Online
Jamestown High School Computer Lab
7:00 – 9:00 pm
AAUW members and guests will work online and complete the online AAUW Work Smart Program on Salary Negotiation. Learning how to actively negotiate salary is one of the biggest obstacles to Pay Equity for Women. Help AAUW reach their goal of training one million women in salary negotiation skills.

The AAUW Used Bookstore is open. The bookstore is located at 601 1 Ave. S. in Jamestown. (Across from the St. James Basilica) or can be reached at 701-952-9684. The bookstore is open M-F from 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and the second Saturday of each month from 10 AM – 2 PM. Please like our Facebook Page to stay updated on specials and bookstore news.

The book store will accept your used book donations during business hours only! Please use north side door for large donations. Ring bell and knock. DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING, always leave with a volunteer.

- Fiction books: published within the past 10 years
- Non-fiction books: published with the past 15 years
- Exceptions: Classics, regional or special interest.
- NO text books, encyclopedias, magazines or Readers Digest Condensed Books
Governor Doug Burgum Declares April 2, 2019 – Equal Pay Day
AAUW ND asked the Governor of ND, Doug Bergum, to declare April 2, 2019 as Equal Pay Day for the State of North Dakota. The request is now official.

2019 AAUW North Dakota State Meeting Scheduled
All AAUW members are invited to attend We Rise as part of our program for the 2019 State Meeting that will be held in Bismarck in conjunction with this event. AAUW ND will follow the WE RISE schedule of activities as follows below with the exception that we will have our official annual meeting on Sunday, March 3, 5:00-7:00 PM in one of the conference rooms at the Ramada by Wyndham at 1400 Interchange Ave, Bismarck.

The 2017 AAUW National Convention, Leadership For Women By Women, will be held June 14-17, 2017 in Washington, D.C. at the Renaissance hotel in downtown Washington. Visit the convention website at http://convention.aauw.org/ to keep abreast of convention news and updates.
AAUW ND State Convention
April 13-14, 2018 – Jamestown, ND
AAUW members will be excited to attend the 2018 Annual meeting that is scheduled for April 13 and 14 in Devils Lake, ND. Activities will focus on the theme, Women Firsts. The event will be hosted by the Jamestown branch. Women have always had a part in shaping North Dakota’s history. Today we will hear from some women who have been first in the state. The tentative program will begin on Friday evening with a historical overview of the ND State Hospital. The event will be held at the North Dakota State Hospital in the Superintendent’s House.” The event will start will registration on Saturday, April 14 at the Legacy Center at 8:30 A.M. A block of rooms has been reserved for AAUW members at the Hampton Inn in Jamestown. Please call them and request the AAUW block of rooms.
Volunteers are needed to assist with packing books for the move to our new bookstore location across the hall.

Thurs. March 31 – 5-8 pm
April 5, 7, 12 and 14 – Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-8 pm
April 2, 9 and 16 – Saturdays – 9:30 am – 2 p.m.
