National Buffalo Musuem – 10 A.M.

Join us on Museum day by getting your “FREE” Museum ticket and join us as we visit the National Buffalo Museum at Frontier Village.  The museum is featuring the exhibit “I Am Bison.”  Following the tour we will hear a report by Larissa Oster on her attendance at the virtual National Conference for Women Student Leaders.

University of Jamestown Brunch – 10 A.M.

Join us at the University of Jamestown for brunch at the Knight Dining Hall in the Badal Nafus Center followed by a virtual program at 11:00 AM in Lyngstad Hall Rm 206 lead by Dr. Shylah Schauer, a naturopathic doctor, as she speaks to us on the topic of stress and burnout, their effect on our bodies and overall health, and what we can do to reduce stress and its effects. Dr. Schauer splits her time between the University of Jamestown and Amsterdam. Dr. Schauer ND.

Branch Book Review – “While the Windmill Watched” on Zoom

Branch members and guests join book authors Janine Pfeiffer Knop and Jackie Pfeiffer McGregor as they guide us through their book, “While the Windmill Watched.”  The book outlines the lives of the Pfeiffer sisters during their growing up years in the 1950’s in Menoken, ND.  You won’t want to miss this delightful discussion of growing up in rural North Dakota and memories of days past.

TECH SAVVY – University of Jamestown – 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

All hands on deck.  Help out at this annual event that our branch helps sponsor.  Tech Savvy  teaches Middle School girls about STEM careers in Math, Science, Technology and Engineering.    Help is needed to assist as room helpers, hallway monitors, registration and other opportunities.  Watch for details in your newsletter and put this on your calendar to help out your branch.

April 21, 2022 – Work Smart – Online Training
Computer Lab, Jamestown High School – 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Work Smart is a free online program to help working women learn how to be more proactive in negotiating their salaries.   Learn how to research your target salary, highlight your accomplishments and find the right words — and the confidence — to negotiate for better benefits and pay. All hands on deck.  Help out at this annual event that our branch helps sponsor and provides funding for AAUW programs and our scholarship program.

Rock The Block – Main Street Jamestown – 5:00 – 8:00 PM

Volunteers are needed to help at this annual event that welcome incoming University of Jamestown freshman students.   Lot’s of opportunities to help Jamestown learn about AAUW.
